克里斯（約瑟夫·高登·萊維特 Joseph Gordon-Levitt飾）曾經(jīng)是一個耀眼的男生：身為冰球明星，有著優(yōu)越的家境，漂亮的女友，人生如平坦的大道一樣暢順。一場車禍卻摧毀了一切，他患上了短暫失憶，每天都在無法控制的狀態(tài)中度過，就連車匙放在哪里之類的小問題，克里斯也無法有把握地記起。如今他成了銀行的守門人，身邊唯一的朋友就是盲人路易斯（杰夫·丹尼爾斯 Jeff Daniels飾），他用快樂的人生觀指點著克里斯該如何應(yīng)對生活。

　　有人想方設(shè)法接近克里斯，那就是加里（馬修·古迪 Matthew Goode飾）。加里對克里斯的際遇十分關(guān)心，為他介紹女朋友，把他恢復以往生活的內(nèi)心欲望喚醒，更重要的目標，是和他合謀參與銀行劫案。

　　克里斯不但面對著失憶的苦惱，如今還要應(yīng)付這個棘手的計劃，把人生的掌握權(quán)奪回自己手中。
