塞吉·甘斯布，法國歌壇的卡薩諾瓦，當(dāng)代的波德萊爾；影片講述他的藝術(shù)人生，以及與當(dāng)時的性感偶像碧姬·芭鐸、簡·伯金等人間的情感糾葛。



1928年出生于巴黎一個流亡俄裔猶太家庭中的塞爾日·甘斯布，一生中創(chuàng)作了許多走紅全法乃至全球的歌曲，論才華被稱為“當(dāng)代的波德萊爾”，而論情史則堪稱歌壇的“卡薩諾瓦”。他與那個時代法國許多美麗的女明星都有過情感糾葛，其中當(dāng)以與碧姬·巴鐸和簡·伯金的戀情最讓人津津樂道。據(jù)導(dǎo)演史法回憶，他的母親就是甘斯布的一位忠實(shí)歌迷，從他有記憶起，他身邊就充斥著各種各樣關(guān)于甘斯布的雜志和CD。受母親的影響，當(dāng)他還是個少年的時候，就已經(jīng)對關(guān)于甘斯布的所有音樂都爛熟于心，對其各種八卦軼事也了如指掌。后來在學(xué)畫畫的時候，史法也總是聽著他的歌，因?yàn)樗�覺得那些歌中有一種讓人想作畫的沖動。



因此，從某種程度上說，《塞爾日·甘斯布》更像是一部故事片而非傳記片，影片避免了傳統(tǒng)傳記片直線性的表達(dá)方式。表面上，影片從上世紀(jì)40年代的巴黎，當(dāng)塞爾日還叫作呂西安·甘斯布的時候說起，從一個熱衷繪畫的青年，到他的前衛(wèi)音樂獲得認(rèn)可，成為了舉世聞名的詩人、作曲家、歌手、名副其實(shí)的法國文化偶像。影片展現(xiàn)了他的童年，歌唱生涯的開始，他的香頌，那些無法復(fù)制的旋律，他的情史，他輝煌的一生。但如果你稍加分辨，你就會發(fā)現(xiàn)，片中描繪更多的是導(dǎo)演想象中的甘斯布，導(dǎo)演希望還原那個時代的精神，而非只是陳年舊事。為了豐富這一角色，他甚至虛構(gòu)了一個名為拉·蓋勒的外國人角色，在片中他經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)，與甘斯布對話。而在片中，史法還親自上陣，出演了香頌大師喬治·巴桑一角，過了把戲癮。
