關(guān)于Sade
1959年1月16日出生于尼日利亞的易巴丹，父親是尼日利亞人，母親是英國人。4歲時(shí)她父母離異，之后她隨母親生活，在英國艾 塞克斯郡的克爾切斯特長大。，長在英國倫敦，Sade的音樂中并沒有一絲非洲音樂成分。她的嗓音有些像黑人靈歌手，但她的音樂卻是英式靈歌。如果說她的歌聲像什么，那么只能用一些形容詞來概括：晶瑩、甜美、悠閑、舒緩、幽怨、空靈……每首歌都像一首溫情的浪漫詩篇，輕輕流淌出來。
當(dāng)一位叫Lee Barrett的唱片經(jīng)紀(jì)人邀請(qǐng)Sade去倫敦的一個(gè)正在組建的樂隊(duì)擔(dān)任主唱時(shí)，Sade欣然接受了。這支樂隊(duì)名叫Pride， 是80年代早期的一支拉丁Funk樂隊(duì)。Sade音色飽滿，技巧純熟且詞曲都能，很快成為樂隊(duì)的靈魂人物。這期間Sade展現(xiàn)出 出眾的歌曲創(chuàng)作能力--寫下了她最早的成名單曲"Smooth Operator"（老練的行家）。隨即她退出Pride，走上了單飛的道路，與她一同離隊(duì)的還有Stuart Matthewman（薩克斯），Andrew Hale（鍵盤），Paul Spencer Denman(貝斯)，這幾個(gè)人成了Sade的班底。
