Suzanne Vega 被認(rèn)為是80年代民謠運(yùn)動(dòng)復(fù)興的領(lǐng)軍人物，那時(shí)她經(jīng)常懷抱著木吉它出沒(méi)于 Greenwich 村的俱樂(lè)部，唱著那經(jīng)由她自己改編的黑人布魯斯歌曲及現(xiàn)代民謠歌曲。專輯“Solitude Standing” 及歌曲 "Luka" 更被 Grammy 提名為最佳年度專輯獎(jiǎng)及最佳年度單曲獎(jiǎng)，Vega 本人也被提名為“年度最佳女藝人”獎(jiǎng)。
