Matt Cab is a singer/songwriter hailing from San Francisco, CA.
Having studied in Japan as a university exchange student, Japan has become the backdrop for his musical career.
Cab created significant buzz posting cover songs on YouTube and was signed by Japan's top R&B label, STAR BASE MUSIC. With an ever growing fan base, Cab's YouTube channel has received over 5 million views.
Released in September of 2010, his debut album "The One" was ranked #1 on Japan's iTunes R&B album chart for three consecutive weeks. in addition, with Maroon 5 at the top spot, "The One" was ranked #2 on the USEN Western Music all-genre chart. After the release, Cab received a flood of event invitations from around Japan and toured the country. He was selected as the opening act for world renowned superstars Ray J, Iyaz, and Bow Wow.
In 2012, Cab made a guest appearance on m-flo's album "Square One," the group's latest release in 5 years. Beginning in May, he joined m-flo on a nationwide tour, performing for a crowd of 8,000 people at one of Japan's premier venues, Makuhari Messe.
Also playing an active role as a songwriter, Cab was recognized for working with the group w-inds. on the lead song "Listen to the Rain" off their new album "Move Like This."
Matt Cab's highly anticipated 2nd album "Love Stories" is set to release on 2012.9.5 with appearances by the likes of m-flo's VERBAL and one of Japan's most prominent producers, UTA (AI's Happiness, etc.).
